Hiring the right remodeling contractor can make the difference between a smooth project and a stressful one. Good work starts with good planning, but it also depends on choosing someone who communicates clearly, follows through, and respects the details of the job.

Get more than one estimate

It is smart to compare several written estimates. This gives you a clearer sense of pricing, scope, and how each contractor approaches the work.

Check references and past work
